The Launching of the book “Beacon of Guidance on the Heights of Eloquence”

In this ceremony, which featured a video message from Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, the first volume of the esteemed book “Beacon of Guidance on the Heights of Eloquence” (the English translation of a commentary on the Nahj al-Balaghah) was launched. In his message, His Eminence expressed his pleasure at the translation of this work in to English and the access it provides to non-Persian and non-Arabic speakers to the Nahj al-Balāghah and its commentary. He described the Nahj al-Balāghah as a precious ocean of gems that is now available to the Western world to benefit from. Congratulating those involved in the translation and publication of this work, he stated: “Be assured that you are entering a luminous realm—a realm that encompasses a portion of the vast knowledge of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (͑a), and one that holds tremendous benefits for the entire world.” This online session, hosted by Lantern Publications Australia, included remarks from Hojatoleslam Qasem Mohammadi, head of the Department of International Affairs of His Eminence’s Office, who expressed gratitude to the contributors to this work and provided a report on its translation process. Next, Mr. Morteza Bassirian, the translator of the book, discussed the methods chosen for translating this distinguished work. In the session, Hojatoleslam Mansour Laqa’i, director of the Imam Hussain Islamic Centre in Sydney and a former student of His Eminence, spoke about the translation of the commentary on the Nahj al-Balāghah by Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi and discussed some of its characteristics. It is worth noting that this book has been published by Lantern Publications Australia and is now available to the followers of Amir al-Mu’minin (͑a) and others worldwide.
