The statement of His Holiness about painful events of Ashura in Tehran

‌ ‌ ‌ According to some reliable news, not only they promote separation of government from Islam but also some of them have insulted the high position of the leader of martyrs and his mournerss.‌ ‌

On the day of Ashura, when all the people of our country, young and old, man and woman, were burning in the fire of the love of Husayn (a.s.) and were mourning everywhere and sincerely lamenting his martyrdom, some spiteful people took to some streets in Tehran and insulted the ceremony of Imam Husayn (a.s.) which is the element of the unity of nation. They first shouted political and lawbreaking slogans and then ruined and burned public properties. We have said many times that other than those political parties which are loyal to the Islamic Republic and constitutional law, a terrorist and foreign mercenary group has penetrated the lines of people which it’s sole goal is to ruin and divide the country and to leave it to the enemies. Certainly awareness of faithful people to Islam and the system will prevent them from performing their plans. According to some reliable news not only they promote separation of government from Islam but also some of them have insulted the high position of the leader of martyrs and his mourners. We first want all political parties believing in Islamic system to condemn this insult and lawbreaking act and then to leave aside all the disputes because the enemy is waiting in ambush and sharpening his weapon and threatening continuously. Every dispute makes him happy. Is it wisely to make the enemy happy?  I believe that there is a peaceful and wisely solution for the recent disputes which helps our country to become greater and more powerful. Why don't they think about it? We also want the statesmen to be more careful about their plans in order not to give the internal and external opponents of the system any excuse. May Allah guide us all.
