In the beginning of his Fiqh course in the Adam mosque in Qom, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi condemned the atrocious terrorist attacks in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, and more recently those that took place in Europe and France.
Condemning all these terrorist attacks, he stated: following these terrorist attacks and atrocities, all Europe has panicked. Of course if nothing is done to eradicate the roots of terrorism, such terrorist attacks will spread beyond Europe as well.
His eminence noted: as we know, the number of terrorists operating under the banner of ISIL Daesh terrorist group is not much; however, the problem is that these terrorists are being fully supported by some states, and if such supports were not provided to them, eliminating them would not be so difficult.”
Condemning the hypocrisy of the West and the U.S. in fighting terrorism, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi stated: on the one hand the U.S. sends its military trainers to train these terrorists, and on the other, states like Saudi Arabia and a number of others provide these terrorists with money and armament. Moreover, Israel fully supports these terrorists and Turkey buys the oil that the terrorists steal from the places that they have occupied and pays them the money they need to buy more weapons. Surely if such support is no longer provided to them, these terrorists groups will soon be eliminated.
His eminence further noted: it is one of the wonders of todays world that those who have created and supported these terrorist groups, now condemn them; these states are, in fact, condemning themselves; will they ever be awakened to see that the calamity that they have inflicted on others has now come back to inflict its creator, and the beast that they have been nurturing for so long has now turned to attack its nurturing hand, or will they decide to carry on, on their current path?”
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, then, stated: the usurper Israeli regime has said that there is no reason for ISIS to be eliminated! If you support this stance, you must prepare yourselves to face more trouble, as the flames of war created by these terrorists will not be confined to the Muslim countries, but they will engulf the states that have supported these terrorists more than before.
He stated: We hope that the Westerners and the states that provide the Daesh terrorists with support and armament come back to their senses and stop supporting these terrorists; if ISIS does not receive support for a while, it will be easily eliminated. However, when airplanes constantly d r o p packs of food and arms for them, these terrorists will become stronger day by day.
His eminence further noted: the Muslim Ummah must be awakened and united, for if we are all united, eradicating these Takfiri terrorists will not be a difficult task for us, Muslims, but, unfortunately, some Muslim states are providing these terrorists with full support”.
