In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Ever Compassionate
Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
The news of the brutal and distressing attacks of the Zionist regime on a number of regions in Lebanon, and the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of innocent civilians, particularly women and children, has caused us all profound sorrow and grief. Undoubtedly, by attacking hospitals, vital infrastructure, and civilian populations, this ruthless regime, which has no commitment to human principles, has committed war crimes that deeply shocked the conscience of every free-spirited human being.
It is only appropriate that the Muslim nations, the free people of the world, and the Muslim governments support the innocent people of Lebanon and their brave and steadfast Hezbollah, and bear in mind that past experiences have shown that any weakness or compromise in the face of aggression will only pave the way for its repetition and escalation. It is also expected of the authorities and relevant institutions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to strive, as they have in the past, to alleviate the suffering and support the oppressed people of Lebanon within the framework of their humanitarian and Islamic duties. I offer my deepest condolences for this heartrending tragedy to the presence of our Master Imam al-Mahdi (̒a), and I ask the Almighty Allah to grant lofty ranks to the martyrs, swift healing to the wounded, and patience and otherworldly reward to the bereaved.
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you,
Qom, Naser Makarem Shirazi
