Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in his Fiqh course pointing out to the criminal acts of Boko Haram stated: “This group affiliate themselves with Islam whereas they are ignorant to Islam, have kidnapped more than two hundred girls and have announced they intend to sell them for low prices”
He emphasized: “These girls’ sin was that they were studying in school and according to this group, girls should not study and therefore are worthy to be kidnapped”
He said that all these events are the effect of the vicious tree which has been cultivated by the Takfiris and emphasized: “The world should know, these people are ignorant to Islam and aren’t Muslim at all. They are out of the Islamic realm and in our belief, they are wild beings who shouldn’t even be called humans”
Urging on the necessity of vigilance and cautiousness against such foolish, illogical groups, his eminence said: “We should be careful that such groups don’t become excuses for our enemies in Europe and America to propagate against Islam telling people this is what Muslims do”
Reiterating that such groups are ignorant to Islam and are not Muslim at all, he warned: “They may have been provoked by the enemies of Islam in order to use their vicious acts to advertise against Islam and Muslims”
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi added:” I have been informed that some of the important Sunni Mufti’s has denounced such acts as well, so that everyone knows that such things cannot be labeled on Islam”
“May Allah (swt) keep us safe from the evil of all vicious people and free Islam from such atrocities.” His eminence Hoped.
In the opening of Fiqh course Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi thanked the people, especially the youth, for their enthusiastic and large Participation in the E’tikaf ceremony.
He said: Alhamdulillah, the E’tikaf ceremony was held with utmost enthusiasm, integrity and dignity. In reality, it was a thorn in the eyes of the enemies of Islam and those who said people have distanced from Islam and religion.
Pointing out to the official figures that showed 70% of the attendants were the youth, he believed this had many messages and said: “The fact that our youth practice such non obligatory and hard duties like E’tikaf and how those who miss the chance feel wretched, shows how much our youth are devoted to Islam.”
Pointing out to the fact that Islam has various methods to change and improve man as well as the society, he added: “Friday prayers, Umra, Hajj, Ramadhan, Eid Prayers, E’tikaf and other practices alike can be the reason for Substantial change in the society”
