Anti-Islamists should be ready for the response f r o m Muslims across the Globe

The Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi stated in the beginning of his Fiqh course in the A'zam Mosque indicating that the Shiites’ are currently the most oppressed population in the world; “Right now a group of Muslims in Bahrain, Al-Ahsa, Al-Qatif and Azerbaijan are under the pressure of the “Vicious Triangle”.
His eminence highlighted the fact that israel, the united states and wahhabis are the ones behind the scene and have started a campaign against Shiites’ across the world. His eminence remarked, “We have reliable information that anti-Islamists in Azerbaijan are strongly seeking to undermine Muslims. Some of which indeed are among the former authorities of the soviet u n i o n and this clearly explains why they are opposing Islam”.

He regarded acts such as fighting against Hijab, imprisoning Shiite Scholars and stopping Islamic books from being published as devilish acts committed in Azerbaijan. His Holiness continued in addressing Anti-Islamist stating:  “Be sure that you are eradicating yourself, for Shiites’ who are brought up by the teachings of Imam al-Hussain (‘a) shall never calm down and surely these threats and killings shall not change their strong beliefs”.
 
 
His eminence called on the Muslim countries in the region to exercise restraint and try to solve the aforementioned problems through negotiation. “In case they keep continuing this way, it is going to have an unpleasant ending. The Shiites’ in Azerbaijan, Bahrain and Hejaz will not remain silent and all Shiites’ around the globe in Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Europe and america are united with these oppressed people” he added.

The Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi referring to some objections made by regional politicians as to positions taken by the Maraje, remarked: ‘They claim that the Maraje interfere in their domestic affairs while this is quite groundless; for there is no boundary for the state of Marjaiyat (Religious Jurisdiction) and is not limited to a specific place or time.  The Maraje are like doctors without borders. Their followers are everywhere, and therefore, it is they who have the responsibility to defend all Muslims throughout the world.

His eminence continued that the Maraje always announce their support for all Muslims whether Shiites’ or Sunnis all over the world. He referred to supporting Sunni brothers in Palestine and other countries in the region. At the end of his speech, he requested from the whole world to aid oppressed Muslims.
