In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful
“من اصبح ولم یهتمّ بامور المسلمین فلیس بمسلم”
“Any Muslim, who lives a day without attending to the troubles of other Muslims, is no longer considered a Muslim” The Great Prophet of Islam (s)
According to the News received, the Saudi officials have made an unwise and dangerous decision to pass a death sentence on the great Shiite cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr and a number of other innocent Shiites in Saudi Arabia.
Ayatollah Nimr, who was arrested three years ago merely due to his promotion of the good and prevention of the evil and also because of trying to defend the rights of his fellow countrymen, particularly the rights of the oppressed Shiites in the eastern provinces of Saudi Arabia, now faces capital punishment in the silence of human rights organizations. We advise the inexperienced Saudi officials not to further destabilize the already chaotic situation of their country by taking such vindictive and provocative actions, and we remind them that any harm done to the prominent Shiite clerics in Saudi Arabia will incur heavy costs.
Unfortunately, not a day goes by that the Muslim world sustains a new damage and harm at the hands of the Saudi officials. Not a few weeks have passed since the tragedy of the killing of thousands of Shiite and Sunnite Hajj pilgrims in Mina, that this new disturbing news has worried us and the people of the region!
Therefore, we expect all free men in the world and, in particular Shiite and other Muslim scholars of the region, to break their silence regarding the ill-advised actions of the Saudi officials and to prevent the death sentence on Ayatollah Nimr and his nephew from being carried out.
May peace be upon those who follow the righteous path
