In the beginning of his Fiqh course in the A‘zam Mosque in Qom, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi condemned the massacre of the innocent Shiites in Pakistan.
He called this tragic incident the result of the teachings of the Takfiri Wahhabis and stated: “in this atrocious crime committed by the Takfiri Wahhabis around one hundred innocent people were killed and wounded”.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi further stated: “we roundly condemn this terrible crime; terrorist attacks are condemned wherever they take place”.
Stating that all this is the result of the unholy and unblessed branch of the Takfiri Wahhabis, he continued: “What do they teach these murderous criminals and devilish murders who believe they are allowed to massacre the innocent men women and children in the house of Allah?”
His eminence, then, added: “where in the history of mankind such things have recorded? The roots of this unholy and unblessed branch must be reasonably destroyed so that the Shiites, the Sunnites and all the people of the world would be relieved”.
Finally, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, along with everyone present, recited surah Al-Fatiha and surah Al-Ikhlas for the souls of those, who were killed in this terrorist attack, to rest in peace.
