Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said: there will be numerous congresses of this kind being held in different regions and this has been started by the Islamic Seminary School in the holy city of Qom and the people will unite in expressing their hatred of the Takfiris and these voices will eventually stop the massacre of the innocent.
Referring to the benefits and the implications of the “World Congress on Extremism and Takfiri Movements in the Islamic Scholars’ View” in the opening of his Fiqh course that was held in the A’ezam mosque today, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said: “this congress had very important results and it was through Allah’s blessings that we were able to hold it by the help of all the related organizations”.
Stating that this congress had had 5 important results, he said: “one of the benefits of this congress was a good tradition that was adopted by others and today another congress against Takfirism is being held in Al-Azhar, Egypt, and they have invited a representative from Iran who is currently attending the congress”.
His eminence, then, continued: “now various congresses in this regard are being held in Syria, Saudi Arabia and other religions, whose initiative was first introduced by the Islamic Seminary School in the holy city of Qom and now the people all around the world are declaring their hatred of the Takfiris, and these voices will finally stop the massacre of the innocent”.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi stated: “the second result of this congress was a step that was taken towards Islamic unity, and this went to the point that over 80 Sunnite and Zaidi countries all unanimously emphasized the commonalities, and this proved that it is possible for all of them to be united”.
He, then, referred to the third benefit of this congress and said: “the world realized that the Takfiris have nothing to do with us, Islam is the religion of unity, sincerity, and peace, and that these atrocities have nothing to do with Islam, and all agreed that these are the plots engineered by non-Muslims and that Islam can never be associated with violence, hence, this blot was wiped off of Islam”.
He added: “the fourth positive result of this congress was that the soldiers and the fighters [fighting against the ISIS] are enlivened when they see such congresses being held, and the spirits of the fighting forces will be elevated and this will have very important effects on the success of the resistance”.
His eminence, then, continued: “this congress reflected the profundity of the culture of the Islamic Seminary School in Qom, and when the guests from other countries saw how well organized the congress was, they said that it was beyond their expectations and this adds to the prestige of the Islamic Seminary in Qom”.
