Iran’s Distrust of US Is Turning to Hatred

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in his Fiqh Course in A’zam Mosque of Qom, said: the westerners, especially America use obscene, harsh and hateful words with regard to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He continued: They have to change their language if they want to have a deal with Iran. Of course, everyone knows that they speak this way to please Israel and their president emphasizes all our effort is to provide Israel with security.
Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi remarked: It is strange that the government which considers itself as the most powerful government in the world, is such abased in front of a poor state (Israel).
Expressing that our distrust of America is turning to hatred, he noted: we do not know with what reason they are doing this? We must be conscious; the government and nation must be conscious against such enemies while the programs continue.
Referring to some disputes between the government and parliament, he emphasized: there must not be any dispute among the branches of government in this condition. Both government and parliament should be observant; Parliament should be more tolerant and the members of the Cabinet should care about their sayings.
He expressed: One of the ministers once had said that 50 percent of Iranians are below the poverty line. Do not use these kinds of statements, do not disappoint people, the truth is not such.
Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi continued: it has been quoted from some (if it is true) that if the United States attacks, it will be so and so in ten minutes. The president should instruct his ministers more to understand what kind of language they should use in this condition so that they speak honorably and powerfully against the enemies and speak hopefully in front of friends.
At the end he reiterated: in this sensitive circumstances, unity foundations must be strengthened between government and parliament.
