Insulting the Sanctities of Islamic Schools Is Not Permissible

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in a meeting with the coordinating board of “International Imam al-Sajjad (‘a) Conference” which is to be held in Hurmuzgan, Iran, warning about the fact that the Wahabbis’ plan is to infiltrate wherever they can in the country, remarked: if this issue is not treated well the country as well as the Islamic country will face plenty of risks.

His eminence considered these moves as to be political and to take its roots back to foreign countries and added: the spread of the ahhlulbait (‘a)’s culture in the region has made the Takfiri Wahabbis frightened and angry; they therefore have plots for the axis of these developments which is the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 “Disrupting demographics, purchasing the Shi’as’ properties, forcing the followers of Ahlulbait (‘a) to migrate from places where they are minorities and investing in some sensitive places, are of the plans they are developing in order for cracking their ways in to Iran. There should hence, exist a workgroup looking in to this issue based on facts and statistics and find the way out for this problem.” His eminence stressed.

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi considered holding congresses in order for exploring the characteristics of Shi’a figures alongside with spreading the massage of the Ahlulbait (‘a) as to be one of the best ways to foil the plots of our enemies. Addressing the coordinating board of International Imam al-Sajjad (‘a) Conference his eminence reiterated: This will be beneficial for the region as well as our country; it therefore should be held as magnificent as possible for it is not only serving the school of the Ahlulbait (‘a) but also glorifying the sacred Islamic republic system.

His eminence making some recommendations to the coordinator group of the aforesaid congress emphasized: “weighty figures should be invited to this congress.”

His eminence referring to preparatory meetings held for another congress “Danger of Takfiri Currents” to be held in November, 2014 with the presence of both Shia and Sunni scholars stated: “subsequent to these preparatory meetings some raised their voices that “he (his eminence) and his friends are going to slam the Ahlussunah whereas we have invited the Ahlusunah for the congress. Some of them indeed have participated and gave lecture in those preparatory sessions and will be present at the conference itself.

 Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi stated: “Neither Shi’a has right to offend the sanctities of other Islamic schools nor does have any of other Islamic schools right to insult the Shia’s sacred believes. The supreme leader along with the Grand Ayatollah Sistani has forbidden this as well.”

“Our target is the Takfiri currents which have made Islamic countries as well as the whole world an insecure place and kill innocents every single day. The most important things they are upholding nowadays are lies and accusations. This indicates that they have no logic yet we should still clear the air and answer their misconceptions and accusations.” His eminence remarked.
