In His Name Almighty
Dear Hujjatolislām Rājih Nāser Abbas Ja’farī,
Greetings,
You and a number of your friends have made a great sacrifice by going on a hunger strike in order to stand up for the rights of the followers of the Ahl-al-Bayt (a) school in Pakistan. Thank God, the news of your sacrifice has been spread all over the world and has entailed considerable positive results.
Now, I ask you and your friends to end your hunger strike as we are worried for your health. We also expect the Pakistani government, whom we have always supported in all the problems which they have faced, to respond properly to your demands, and to those of the other Pakistani Muslims, particularly the Shias, as they are legitimate and reasonable demands.
They demand nothing from the Pakistani government except security and the recognition of the rights of all Muslim schools. It seems quite unlikely that the Pakistani government disregard such basic rights of its citizens.
We also ask all the Pakistani people, and in particular the Shias, to preserve their unity, maintain public order, and to pursue their legitimate rights peacefully. God willing, they will achieve their goals in promoting their rights.
May God bless you all,
Naser Makarem Shirazi
