This Fatwa Is Against the Consensus of Muslim Scholars

 Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in continuation of thematic interpretation of the holy Quran in sixth day of Ramadhan in the Holy Shrine reacted against some unconsidered comments in the realm of religious issues.
“It has been spread among people that a person who has Fast can drink water and his fast won’t be void. A Hadith has been mentioned for this” His eminence pointed.
Remarking the fact that the Hadith which they argued for this, is disputable regarding its documentation and implication, His holiness stated: assuming that there exist such Hadith, no one has issued a Fatwa that one can drink water and at the same time his Fast is correct. It is against the Fatwa of Muslim Jurists and it is probably against religious essentials.
