Sanctions and threats will not affect Iran

Today the western governments believe that they have mobilized the public opinion against us and imposed limitations on us by threats and sanctions; some, therefore, have been influenced by this propaganda while the sanctions and threads must not be heeded at all.‌

The Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi elaborated in his Fiqh course which was held with the presence of clerics in the A'zam Mosque,  on this week's Moral Hadith and he called for true observance of this narration.
Explaining the narration regarding reliance (Tawakul) upon Allah (swt), his eminence stated: "The one who possesses certainty will rely upon Allah for he knows that dignity and indignity are both in His Hand.

"There are some countries which were proud of their power in the past while at the moment they are suffering from loss of face and are begging for aid. This is due to the fact that they were not connected to divine power," His eminence stated.
He highlighted the reliance upon Allah (swt) and the belief in divine Power and added: "When we have Allah the most exalted with us, we have everything; therefore, we are not afraid of anything and we should not be.

The Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi indicating threats issued against Iran by the west continued: "Today the western governments think that they have mobilized the public opinion against us and imposed limitations on us by threats and sanctions; some, therefore, have been influenced by this propaganda while the sanctions and threads must not be heeded at all. If we thoroughly proceed our responsibilities while relying on Allah, we will not be afraid of anything. He counted the collapsing of dictator governments in the region as well as the crisis and mire of difficulties in to which the western countries are sinking; a great lesson for all people throughout the world.

His eminence stressed on the belief in God and regarded the lack of belief as the origin of all difficulties in the world. "Mental disorder is one of the problems that today's world is suffering from since most of depressions, distress and suicides are due to mental problems; whereby disbelief is definitely one of it’s causes. Hence, if a human being wishes to be saved from these predicaments he or she should increase the belief of God within him or her self. Without having faith in God, a human will not experience tranquility " - he added.

In other part of his speech, his eminence marking the day of “Fighting Against Illiteracy”, mentioned: "In 1979, when the revolution was newly formed; Imam Khomeini (r) declared the command of fighting against illiteracy to show that the Islamic Revolution is seeking knowledge and literacy. Illiteracy therefore, must be eradicated from the country as the late Imam Khomeini declared.

Remarking that Islam is the religion of knowledge, his eminence stated: "Education is among many rights that a father should observe in regards to his child. Islam has laid a very great emphasis on the status of teachers and learners. Learning is also regarded as one of the acts of worship in Islam."

He emphasized that: the knowledge, which lacks commitment and faith will become a source of trouble for human being. Today all the problems in the world are caused by educated people. Nuclear and biological weapons are produced by the educated, yet faithless. Now we witness the “Occupy Wall Street” movement in the United States that it’s main slogan is that 1% have taken the control of everything and the rest 99% among them, educated people serve the 1% whom suck the blood of the absolute majority. This implies that if commitment and faith do not accompany education, it will put man in trouble.

Books taught in universities, should be refined.

In other part of the speech, his eminence made some recommendations to students and stated: there is no problem in going abroad and bringing back modern sciences in to the country yet it is necessary for these sciences to be refined since the western culture is embedded in these sciences by the west.
"The youth should be brought up in a way that if they go abroad for education do not go astray nor get influenced by the western culture but rather, they should practically be callers to Islam. Therefore, it would be wrong to send our children abroad while their personality has not been built yet" - he added.

He indicated: sometimes we have seen that a number of academic materials question the fundamental Islamic issues such as the existence of God or the principle of Imamate. The situation becomes worth when it comes to the humanities. This day is marked as fighting against illiteracy and we hope that these sciences be refined so that we no longer observe the expansion of the materialistic western culture in the country.
