The Hajj pilgrimage is in reality a massive immigration. It is a divine journey towards Allah and the best opportunity for self-purification and engaging in the greater Jihād and inner struggle.

Hajj is one of the important pillars of Islam and one of the greatest acts of worship in the religion. The holy Quran has emphasized the importance of the Hajj pilgrimage in a short, yet profound verse:
وَ لِلّه عَلَى النّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَیْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطاعَ اِلَیْهِ سَبیلاً؛ وَ مَنْ کَفَرَ فَاِنَّ اللّهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنِ الْعالَمینَ
