Hajj is one of the important pillars of Islam and one of the greatest acts of worship in the religion. The holy Quran has emphasized the importance of the Hajj pilgrimage in a short, yet profound verse:
وَ لِلّه عَلَى النّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَیْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطاعَ اِلَیْهِ سَبیلاً؛ وَ مَنْ کَفَرَ فَاِنَّ اللّهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنِ الْعالَمینَ

In order to provide religious services for the dear Hajj pilgrims, the office of  Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi sends a group of scholars as the representatives of his eminence to his office in Medina every year to answer the religious questions of the Hajj pilgrims and the clergies accompanying them.
