We are ready for any kind of cooperation with our Muslim Indonesian friends/our Indonesian brothers must be careful about the spread of Takfiri Wahhabism in their country; today, Indonesia enjoys a state of security and peace.

Even if the sedition of the Takfiris is eradicated today, it will take tens of years to mend the damages that they have caused with the atrocities that they have so far committed in the Muslim world.

It is very difficult to accept that a person with an average intellectual capacity would read the material and the stuff that are provided by the Takfiri movements and get drawn to it based on religious inclinations.

We are hopeful that the excellent way of life of the Messenger of Allah (s) becomes an exemplar for all the Muslims and the focus of the ambition of all the Muslim scholars and thinkers of the world.

The duty that we the Islamic scholars of all the Islamic sects have is to come hand in hand and do something that the root of these deviant thoughts is burnt through logical and intellectual demonstration.

We should make it clear that these groups are just a small minority. The majority of Muslims however, are against them. Those thoughtless and stupid acts of theirs are in no way consistent with Islamic teachings.” His eminence remarked

The second congress on “Extremism and Takfiri Movements in Today’s world” will focus on the responsibilities of the Muslim scholars regarding the problem of extremism. Many Muslim scholars and intellectuals from Iran and various Muslim countries, along with the ambassadors of different Muslim countries, will participate in this congress, which will be held under the supervision of  Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in the holy city of Qom. 

Everything causing mistrust between Muslims must not happen. Shias should not insult the sanctities of other religions because it leads to a civil war. There is no problem speaking about the status of Imam Ali ('a), but the others should not be insulted.
